West Garrett Dance Studio exists to provide all students with an
opportunity to grow through experiences with the performing arts.
West Garrett Dance Studio aims to provide a safe and healthy
environment for all students to learn the many elements of dance. The
Studio serves not only Dumas, but also nearby communities that are
also somewhat remote to influences of the performing arts of the larger
metropolitan areas. Many educational resources are utilized, including
media, guest speakers, field trips, and recitals.
West Garrett Dance Studio focuses on teaching the essential elements
of ballet, tap and jazz dancing and aerobics. This includes learning
basic positions and steps, safe stretching techniques and performance
projection. Along with performing at the end of the year, students also
learn basics of choreography. Aerobic classes provide fitness and
healthy parameters and guidelines.
